Ready to Party

Marin got all dressed up for Asher's second birthday party!  She looked just too cute and we had to take a couple pictures on the porch before we headed over there.  She was really excited and had fun playing with the boys at the John Deere party.  Now she asks to go to Asher's all the time.  I think she thinks there's always going to be a party there.

So Sleepy

Marin is usually such a good sleeper.  She sleeps about 12 hours at night and usually wakes up between 7:30 and 8:00.  Occasionally she will even sleep until 8:30!  However, two days this week she has woken up at 5:45.  I go to the gym at 5:30 every morning.  This particular morning I was just feeling really tired and decided to let myself sleep in.  Unfortunately, she had other plans.  Apparently waking up super early in the morning and then playing at the park for a couple hours can really wear a girl out!  She didn't even make it all the way through lunch before falling asleep.  She just could NOT keep her eyes open!

One and a half

Marin is already 18 months old!  For her present, her Daddy made this fun height chart.  He's so creative; I am very impressed!  It's a great addition to her room and a keepsake we'll have forever.

Spring at Aldridge Gardens

We went to Aldridge Gardens today to enjoy the spring blooms and beautiful warm weather.  It was so nice.  We saw turtles, ducks, geese, a lizard, birds, fish, and a squirrel (don't laugh we don't see many of those in Ross Bridge).

 Smelling the flowers
This is her "so sweet" pose.

Springing Forward!

There is nothing better than the first days of warm weather and springing forward.  That extra daylight is so nice!  We can actually play outside after dinner now!  During winter it seems like by the time Mark gets home the whole day is over.  Now we get to go for walks with him or just play outside or his favorite: on the front porch!  Marin has gotten to be quite the dare devil.  Her favorite thing lately is finding a hill and running down it completely out of control.  Of course, this new devil attitude is going to lead to more bumps, bruises, scrapes etc.  On this day she got her first skinned knee.  She wasn't too upset about it until she saw it.  Now every time she notices it, she tries to make a big deal out of it.  She's so dramatic about it and says "Boo boo knee" and then puts her head down on me like she's so pitiful.  It just makes me laugh.  Here are some pictures of us enjoying the warm weather and extra daylight!

Flower Girl

Marin's Aunt Megean gave her this cute flower headband last year for Easter, and she has had so much fun with it!

Our Little Valentine

Marin had fun making a Valentine's card for Daddy this year!
